Hi. Yes. I’m 51 over the dreaded marrying age here in Cambodia. I know I can apply for fiance visa to USA but sure anyone can apply. Does anyone have personal experience and or success being over50 and getting a fiancé to USA to marry. So far I can’t findsomeone Who successfully went through process. I know many things can derail it but tying to find out if at some point there is auto denial because of my age. Thanks. Sorry if his has been covered before

I can only suggest you start here and read it thoroughly, including all the links.

If you still have questions, then come back on here and ask specific questions, but 'has anyone done this?' is probably too broad for anyone to know what info you seek.

I think the OP is asking about the success rate of K-1 visa applications from Cambodia in particular.

I’ve heard stories of outright visa denials made from the US embassy in Phnom Penh for various reasons.

Anyways, will be going through that maze soon enough.

Average time for K-1 is 6-8 months, married visa is 12-18 months.

But will it be worse now for Cambodia because of strained relations?

I did the K-1, my wife and I live in USA now.

I’m not 50 but I know age difference is not a reason for you to be rejected, it may result in them asking more questions though.

Check out visajourney.com, the forums are very active and the website has sample forms you can look at when you do yours.

You would have much evidence (like photos) of your relationship so no reason for you to fret.

I understand the average processing time for the K-1 visa is now ten months.

What makes you say that? Maybe he met her Thursday night at Candy Bar.

That’s true. I assumed they are in a relationship here and would as a result have an abundance of evidence it’s a real relationship, as opposed to people who met on Facebook.

If you are not allowed to marry, by the powers that be in the KOW then, why do you think the embassy will give you a fiance visa ?
Bet they won't.
