What's happening to this fuckin' Euro. It's going down, down, down and down. Slowly I'm getting worried. Any predictions ?

Analysts predict that the Euro will be down to $ 0.95 soon.

US banksters are propping up the Greenback (fiat) and engineering other currencies and gold's fall. It is possible they won't be able to mess with gold much longer as it may have just turned the corner - too soon to tell yet though.

I'm giving until the end of the year until it all backfires.

The S&P 500 looks to me like it will fall over around mid Dec, if not before.

"Analysts"? Link ?

The Euro zone wants a lower euro to be more competitive on international markets, but last year when the euro dropped to about $1.25, it bounced back due partly to US monetary intervention. A too-strong $US is not good for US exports - also raises the price of petrol which puts pressure on the world economy - not good for the markets. Why would the US not intervene as usual ?

Unless there is something new going on, the euro has fallen around this time of year for the last few years and then picked up.

That's quite a fall. Any idea why?

The 1.15 was an artificial inflation, and bad for Australia long term. The .85 is the traditional value - although it sucks when you're overseas and living off Aussie dollars.

Sorry....can't provide a link to that. A friend called me this afternoon and told me that the "Deutsche Bank" made this analysis.

I' m no expert, but most of what I found on the net predicts a drop to around 1.22 at lowest - at least for the time being - this year and early next year. As I said before, from experience (FWIW), the euro seems to systematically drop toward the end of the year. If what I've read is correct, we can expect it hover around 1.25 for a while, but who knows.

Bad news for me too. Last year I invested quite a bit of money in silver and other commodity stocks (small natural gas fracking outfits), bracing for inflation and US dollar decline due to the US printing money like there is no tomorrow. Those investments have all shit the bed.

The Euro rises and falls mostly (lately) on the economic outlook for Germany, and they have been seeing a decline in exports.
