EB visa requirement

What is your recent experience with EB visas?

Some sources like movetocambodia.com say any length EB visa requires a letter of employment.

Another site states three month EB visas are easier than 6 or 12:

"Three-month EB visas for Cambodia can be obtained without a work permit/employment card, and extended indefinitely...."

https://www.b2b-cambodia.com/articles/w ... xtensions/

Unfortunately the MFA has literally no information on their site: https://www.mfaic.gov.kh/cambodia-visa-information

Is it possible to get a 3 month EB visa without a letter from employer and without a work permit?

At the moment, to get an EB EOS you need a letter from your employer (even for a 3 month extension). WP is not required to get the EOS, but EB EOS is required to get the WP.

If employed by someone. If not, letter by yourself. Business licence and tax patent. In the end you need work permit.

Based on the letter/WP requirements it seems that Cambodia isn't nearly as easy as it was a few years ago. I would say Vietnam's 1 year business visa is easier to obtain (just pay for a letter with no actual job required).

I guess in Cambodia with about $1000 in the bank and another $1000 or so in fees you can start your own company and hire yourself to issue a work permit but...still Vietnam is easier :chin:

I think this is not true.

If you apply for an EOS from your entry visa this is true, but if you apply for an EB extension with already one or more EB extensions in your passport you have been working, so they will ask for your work permit when extending. An EB extension is only given to people working in Cambodia.

Without my WP there was no way I'd get a one year EOS, and I had one EOS in my passport already and that one was connected to an EOS in my former passport..

u are both wrong

its no wonder everyone is confused when people just talk dribble.

it matters not about how many eb eos you have.each application is separate and a visa and WP are two different departments.they dont care if u have a wp or previous eos.

1 or 3 months eos letter and wp needed.
6 or 12 months letter only.
u will not be asked for a wp if u have previous eb eos because its a new application. Otherwise u will just get a new eos automatically.
same with er eos- just because u have one now doesnt mean u will get another

eg eos - if u already have one eos u may have to leave and exit.

Applied for 1Y EOS B and had to show proof of work and proof of work permit. Applied on June 25th last month.

They did care about my former EOS B.

DOI might act different with others, I don't know.
