Chloramphenicol - over the counter?

Post by StroppyChops »

Anyone know if Chloramphenicol is available over the counter, please? Ironically I can barely see to write this, so autocucumber is being a bastard.

Answering my own question in case someone needs the information in the future - over the counter for $1 a bottle. It's an antibiotic for conjunctivitis, which is prevalent here in certain seasons and especially when the dust is flying, as the dust is mostly concrete and poo.

Each to their own. It's a friendly dog.

The drops I got had an almost immediate response, literally had to tear my eyelids open this morning and stagger blindly to the chemist, could see clearly and no more pus shortly after the first treatment. Stings a bit.

Maybe try some saline drops on an ongoing basis to keep your eyes lubricated.

Haven't experienced dusty poo, unless you have a cat.
