Help with Garment Making in Phnom Penh
Help with Garment Making in Phnom Penh
I have an established brand of sports wear and am looking for garment makers in PP or other parts of Cambodia. Specifically I'm looking for sports bras and leggins to be made with our brand name.
Can anyone tell me if there are medium size factories in PP that would accept orders of less than 1,000 pieces? I can speak English and Thai.

Re: Help with Garment Making in Phnom Penh
it is easy to find garment maker in PP, just search yellow pages, but those usually requires orders in excess of 10,000 pieces citing time and effort to make the pattern cuttings, try olympic market and employ those small scale mom n pop shop, it is easier to control quality but take lots of patience for communications and translating ideas
Money is not the problem, the problem is no money

Fabric range is pretty poor I think, everything is imported. You would be better going to Sri Lanka, Vietnam or Bangladesh.
Re: Help with Garment Making in Phnom Penh
This was my concern, I want to use Cambodia because we're based in Thailand, where we already manufacture, the problem is it's very difficult to find workers.willyhilly wrote: ↑Sat May 19, 2018 10:06 am Fabric range is pretty poor I think, everything is imported. not good, mostly cheap polyester range, if u r doing bras then most probably u r looking at lycra or something in that range, difficult to find it here, used to go to dist 5 in vietnam to get my fabrics, there is a huge fabric market there call soai kinh lam n transport it back using the bus from HCM to PP, 100,000vnd for 1m3 of space, leave ur cam phone number with bus operator and when it reach PP, they will call u and go pick it up

Thanks. Did you formerly work in garment making in Thailand or PP? Thai workers can do a good enough job of sewing, just a matter of finding them. Yes, I know where to get the fabrics, just not sure how to get it to PP.bolueeleh wrote: ↑Sat May 19, 2018 10:33 amhad the same problem too, i trained 6 workers from scratch for 6 months but in the end still not up to standard, since u hv factory in thailand then u shld know where to get fabrics in thailandSimon M wrote: ↑Sat May 19, 2018 10:22 amThis was my concern, I want to use Cambodia because we're based in Thailand, where we already manufacture, the problem is it's very difficult to find workers.willyhilly wrote: ↑Sat May 19, 2018 10:06 am Fabric range is pretty poor I think, everything is imported. Re: Help with Garment Making in Phnom Penh
tried my hands at starting a small shop at making low end women apparels and hoping to sell them in matured markets like singapore or hong kong as i saw a demand for low end women apparel with mediocre design and fabric like zara or mango or what not but selling at reasonable pricesSimon M wrote: ↑Sat May 19, 2018 10:39 amThanks. Re: Help with Garment Making in Phnom Penh
Talking about fabric, do you know if we can buy hemp fabric in Cambodia ? It is not available in Thailand and it seems that only China can supply hemp.
ONLY MONKEYS THINK THAT I AM NOT LIVING IN CAMBODIA BECAUSE I USE VPNs and PROXIES.
Sorry but I do not reply to idiots, especially the old ones.
