Bad experience with a landlord, what can I do?

Post by Johanna Higgs »

Hello there everyone!

I had a particularly bad experience with a landlord named Maya Sorn in Phnom Penh. I would very much like to report her or at least be able to warn others who might want to stay with her. Would anybody have any suggestions about what I can do?

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

Move, There are hundreds of other places to rent. Forget about the money you lose and think of the other advantages.
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

Publish it here the exact issues. you start posting it on Facebook they may go after you for defamation. Most landlords are fine but everyone has had at least one jackass. To do anything legal would cost $$$$ take years and no doubt not be found in your favor, their is no ombudsman or anything to help here. Chalk it off as bad experience and move on.

However a full explanation of your experience placed anonymously here would allow others to come across it when searching this landlord.

What issues did you have, exactly?

If you want to get legal advice on the matter, try Aussie Peter DAVID in Kampot. He is worth his salt.

@OP publish the address of the residence you stayed at.

We should create a blacklist.
