I'm a Special Kind of Stupid (Poked a Hole in my Freezer)

Fucking hell. It's been a peaceful weekend, and I thought, 'hey, maybe I should defrost my freezer.'
Unplugged the bastard, and opened the doors. It was taking freaking FOREVER, so I decided to get a knife and take a few stabs as the slowly melting ice.
I was on a roll. I was stabbing the thing like I was Joe Pesci with a pen. It was working. It was working so well, in fact, I thought, 'damn, I'll be done in a few minutes at this rate.'
Whack! Whack!! Wha....HIIIIIIIIISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS....................
I fucked up. I ended up poking a tiny little hole in the bugger, and all the gas leaked out. Just a pin sized hole. FUCK.
Now what? I don't think the superglue I put on there will do fuck all. Google confirmed I'm an idiot.
And the worse part is to replace the whole damn thing will cost $250.
So, is it worth finding someone to patch the hole and refill it with freon, or am I totally fucked and will need to replace it?
This happened in the desert, so I'm just asking for general information before I aimlessly walk through the streets and try to find the 'refrigerator street,' and see if someone will come help a brother out, or do I need to bite the bullet and go buy a new one?
God dammit.
