Many pharmacies carry "Fumarate Ferreux" but will not understand when you ask for "iron supplements." Be careful! Can be toxic and deadly if misused! I recommend seeing a GOOD doctor first!
https://www.drugs.com/mtm/ferrous-fumarate.html
For 3-5 days, every 4 weeks, I give my wife 100 mg, per a western doctor's recommendation. In 2008, she had anemia, but I forget what dosage she took then.
I've never seen the iron fish for sale in PP, but I haven't really looked. If you find one, please post where and how much. Thanks!
Edit to add:
Definitely get blood tests for anemia AND all the hepatitis' first. Paramed Lab, on street 154, is good, imo. English speaking doctor(?) on staff who will try to sell you other tests that might or might not be needed. Do your homework first. They can email the results if you ask them.

Re: iron deficiency
It seems common with a lot of these NGO "solutions", like insecticidal bed nets, slow sand water filters, etc.I've never seen the iron fish for sale in PP
Lots of smoke and light in the press, but no heat - you can't actually get them anywhere, unless an NGO happens to drop one on you.

Re: iron deficiency
eat more nuts and green leafy veggies, also intake more vit C to increase absorption of iron, supplement is waste of money, body cant absorb so much supplement in one go anyway, gonna end up in ur poop or even worse in ur body then u hv to take another med for that, never ending cycle
Money is not the problem, the problem is no money

Thanks so much everyone for your interest in my "iron post" I'm actually in Australia, but my friend is in PP, and we attempt to communicate via messenger .I had a look at her blood tests and Dr Google and I agreed, that her underlying condition is lack of iron and other common minerals. I don't speak any Khmer and her English is limited so it's a bit of a challenge to try and get her well . Thanks again
Re: iron deficiency
I would suggest a trip to Central Hospital on 154 street for a consultation, checkup and possible treatment, if you are at all worried. Its Khmer run with competent doctors and not expensive. I have used this regularly for about four years. Blood test results are usually within the hour, So with one consultation you get your results and treatment. Dr Meth Pheng is the "Gyneco-Obst" and trained in France. I took a girl there a while back for checkup and some tests and the bill was $30. Just something to think about if you are worried.davedaddy wrote: ↑Wed Apr 18, 2018 2:45 pm Thanks so much everyone for your interest in my "iron post" I'm actually in Australia, but my friend is in PP, and we attempt to communicate via messenger .I had a look at her blood tests and Dr Google and I agreed, that her underlying condition is lack of iron and other common minerals. They don't expect you to buy medication at their pharmacy, it is much cheaper from an outside pharmacy. Pharmacie Phsar Tapang is good and close to Central, on the corner of 136 and 51 st.
