Hay Fever?
About one period a year I get hay fever - itchy eyes, sneezing and running nose. To deal with it I take antihistamines that I buy from a Khmer Pharmacy in Psar Kandal. About 1000 riel for a foil of 10 tabs - probably 20x cheaper than back home in Oz.
Many moons ago, I suffered a bit of a shocker one year and went to a health food shop that had some hay fever drops took them for a while and didn't get hay fever again for about 10 years. Unfortunately, I was never able to find the drops again and have no idea who made them. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone knows of something here that may help instead of the antihistamines?
Really having a bad last hour and just took a tab about 10 mins ago and still waiting for it to kick in.

Re: Hay Fever?
I get this, like clockwork, every November. I think something blossoms around now, or the wind kicking up all the dust makes me hayfeverish. I do feel like it's more of a plant/blossom allergy though, as it's often dusty here and I'll sneeze, but not in an itchy, 15 sneezes and running nose way, like now. I use cetrizine hydrochloride.

Re: Hay Fever?
November / December is the time of year for wind. Typhoons off the coast of Vietnam.
When you get sick and feel like crap, you might describe the feeling as 'having been hit by a truck'. When Khmers have that kind of sickness, that's when the best cure is to get coined. Oddly, Khmers refer to this kind of sickness as ខ្យល់ (kjal, kcal) which means 'air'.
So why did you get sick? The answer is blowing in the wind.
It's that time of year.

Add to that, Conjunctivitis (Red Eye) in October.sealang.net wrote:ខ្យល់ kcɑl, kjɑl, ksɑl, wind, breeze, air; breath; gas (According to traditional Cambodian medicine, bad `air' in the body is the cause of many illnesses such as fainting, dizziness, stomach aches)

We're snorting Otrivin nasal spray like junkies after a big casino win. Hope this season doesn't last long.

Re: Hay Fever?
Is that whats its called Hay Fever? When Im on my back out of nowhere I cannot breath. I never had this happened before. My eyes itch which I been assuming is cause of just dirt in my eyes from riding.
Does this mean I have allergies though?
