Schengen Immigration Visa questions

Hope someone has done this. We have to do a Schengen class c visa application for family reunification. This is a national visa that you need to go to eu and apply for residence, not the three month tourist one. I cannot find any list of sample questions for Europe, plenty of reference for the US. Anyone done this recently?
