Need help for alcoholic friend
I'm looking for an organization who can help my khmer friend with alcoholism that's destroying her life and the lives of her children.
she is a woman in her 40's. Any recommendations?

I think there is some Khmer AA literature now.
Contact the local AA chapter, they have the materials.
I think Friends on St. 13 has some contacts, too.

Not if there's a fire, not even if you hear the sound of a thud from my home and one week later there's a smell coming from there that can only be a decaying human body and you have to hold a hanky to your face because the stench is so thick that you think you're going to faint.
Even then, don't come knocking...Not for ANY reason.

A waste of time unless she seeks help herself.superferret wrote: ↑Thu Dec 28, 2017 2:16 pm I'm looking for an organization who can help my khmer friend with alcoholism that's destroying her life and the lives of her children.

you might not be a fan of AA,but you cant deny it works.....FYI ,its a Higher Power ,not a God,that can be anything of your choosing......AA saves lives, maybe it can save hers(and her kids)Borum-Ex frm TOForum wrote: ↑Thu Dec 28, 2017 5:13 pm I’m not exactly a fan of AA and their twelve steps & that god gives you the power and all that BS, but here you go: http://www.aacambodia.org/cambodia_aa_contacts

I briefly worked with people on drugs/excess alcohol, and the ones that got off and stayed off usually credited some kind of religious thing
