Free cardboard boxes?

I am nearing the end of my shopping for the kids next door, and now I need a few free cardboard boxes to use for gifting. I could buy nice purpose-built gift boxes at PBC (e.g.) but I'd rather spend that money on cat food. Anyone have any ideas where I might try? The Lucky's on Sihanouk didn't have any they wanted to spare.

brother nothing is free here, it all has a monetary value. even old newspaper. thee is a whole class of people called ejai who go door to door buying that shit.
jesus mate- catch on to what is going on around you.
can't you see the desperate poverty and the courageous activities of illiterate people to try and make a living?
NOTHING IS FREE HERE.
even human shit and sewer rats have a monetary value.
notice the bottom of the pot dried out rice drying in the sun everywhere?
sorry to be blunt, and please do not take it unkindly.
just look around you.

So far I've gotten two of the four boxes I need for free by inquiring at the front desks of hotels, so if anyone has any further ideas on other candidate establishments for sourcing the other two I'd be very grateful -- thanks again! :-)

Gotta love the way he just keep on feeding the cats, totally disregarding facts about the uncontrolled breeding. [Admin edit]

Don't know if this would work in the big city, but in the village the owners of the mom and pop stores are delighted to give them to give us. We put old clothes in them when it gets cold and use them for warmth for our two dogs in dry season.

Only in Kuroneko's imaginative renditions.
