LOwest and Highest hourly rates for TEFL-doggies (?)
Very recently, a qualified and experienced white* expat went for an advertised job in a provincial city and was told
that there were no full-time jobs available but that probably there would be 2 or 3 evening hours available at
$8 - $10 an hour.
So is that offer the rock-bottom worst these days or are there still crappier offers?
And who pays most?
*It is embarrassing to write this but it's - maybe - better to be 100% clear about it.

Re: LOwest and Highest hourly rates for TEFL-doggies (?)
There have never been too many decent opportunities for foreign teachers in the provincial administrative capitals, which hardly deserve to be called "cities". Siem Reap and Sihanoukville are rapidly expanding but both are geared towards tourism rather than commerce, manufacturing etc. The only people I've ever known who taught in the provincial capitals were either driven by altruism or pretty much insane.
Silence, exile, and cunning.

On FB PPJA we stopped approving teaching jobs at $6ph a while back. You'd be amazed how indignant a number of posters got about that.
