Are you bringing the cat with you when you travel or are you having the cat shipped across as cargo? If you have the option, bringing the cat with you is a much simpler option but SC and I can talk you through the other option as we've just shipped our cat over as cargo.

That's a meat product. Could be a problem, I guess.

The cat will be getting off the plane with the owner.

Then no problem, you may be asked to pay a fee of around $10USD.

You may also need to show a health certificate from a vet, current vaccination card, evidence of rabies shots, and microchip certificate for a 15-digit ISO compliant microchip. If you're unlucky you will need to show evidence of recent worm and flea treatments, and you may be asked to copy out a rather sucky/crawly letter to the Director of Customs, although this is far less likely for an animal travelling with you.

If any if this presents a problem, just quietly ask the official if you can "pay an extra fee" (use these words as bribing an official is an offence back home) and be ready to "pay a fee" of, say, $10 at first, and then $20 at most.

It's also highly likely you'll just be able to collect your animal from the carousel and walk out without any hassle.

Depends on the official on the day.
