The Minister of Tourism has stated that Cambodia will allow the use of Chinese RMB – instead of Cambodian Riel or US Dollars – in all tourism services in order to attract more Chinese tourists.
HE Thong Khon, Minister of Tourism, said that Cambodia is ready to launch a number of measures, that have been taken to welcome Chinese tourists in 2023, after the Chinese government allowed its people to travel abroad again.
He stated that all hotels and restaurants, as well as all tourism services, can accept payment in Chinese RMB.

In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST

So what? It's a stronger currency than The Riel.

They should all arrive soon..10's of tbousands fleeing China, which is now collapsing economically. Cambodia has always been a place for Chinese to flee to.
At least here they can use TickTock which is banned there.. so there are some perks to living here

Well they didn't mention the exchange rate.
At face value, this isn't really a big deal. Whenever I use a Thai credit card in Cambodia, I effectively pay in Thai baht. I doubt they mean cash payments, seeing that China has mostly gone cashless.

OP doesn't seem to realise that Cambodia is essentially a sub-region of China, rather than an independent country

You know that tingly little feeling you get when you really like someone? That's common sense leaving your body.
