Kingdom looks to boost trade with New Zealand
The Foreign Affairs Ministry yesterday reported the Kingdom is looking to boost the trade volume with New Zealand by establishing direct air linkage.

In 2016, the total trade of goods between both countries was valued at $31.33 million. Cambodia exported $23.08 million worth of clothes to New Zealand, while New Zealand exported $8.24 million worth of milk powder, frozen beef, fruits and quinces.

When compared to trade with other nations in the region, Cambodia is among the lowest. In 2014, New Zealand-Malaysia trade was valued at $1.99 billion, while trade with Thailand that year was worth $1.66 trillion. Last year, trade between New Zealand and Singapore was worth $3.45 billion, according to the New Zealand Foreign Affairs Ministry and Trade data.

The ministry said it held a meeting with its New Zealand counterpart on December 16, and both sides agreed to forge closer ties, especially in trade by establishing a direct air linkage.

“Both sides agreed to work toward establishing direct air linkage to boost connectivity, tourism, trade, culture and people-to-people exchange,” the ministry said.

I have been buying excellent New Zealand beef through Lee Frozen Foods offices in PP, Sihanoukville, Kampot and now Siem Reap. I usually buy a whole ribeye and break it down to steaks and smaller roasts.
Great to see more trade.

Why don't New Zealand export any lamb into Cambodia?

They are known in the UK only for lamb, you never see any NZ beef or for that matter, Aussie lamb or beef.

Can the public just go into Lee's and buy from them?

Do they do fresh beef or is it all frozen?

Thanks for any info...
