Just saw on fb today that Chuck Norris is for sale (I know - old news - the ad was posted on may 12).
Their asking price is quite low buy now and they say that the lease can be extended for another 3 years - isn't GSM going to be closed and demolished or it is still just the rumors?

Chuck Norris Dim Sum was a nice place and the food was good but they never looked like they were profitable. Anyone has got any inside info.

also the comments are funny - it's in Phnom Penh Buy and Sell ;)

I also found funny the part where someone we might know showing interest - which would be more ironical than opening a drinking hole in TT

I heard there are plans to dismantle the place piece by piece and transport it back to the U.S of A, quite possibly somewhere in Michigan.

I'm not that surprised it can't sell. I never saw that many people in the place and can't imagine it made that much. It's a growign trend down there . so many of the food places there are closing down. The middle eastern place has been killed by the ban on shishas, and has been taken over by a second branch of Beirut, which bizarrely is now run by a Philippino guy and serves indian curries. The original middle eastern place moved to a single shop front next door, stayed open a week and has now closed for good.

Am i right in saying the pizza place further along has also died a death too?

I suspect the only food places on that strip that make any kind of money are the portable burger and hot dog stands and Katie Perry's Pizza.

What? No way! ! Hard to believe that about Beirut! I assumed they'd wait out the ban...

Which pizza place? Maybe it's come and gone without me even noticing it's existence.

I've recently heard of a good/cheap place a few doors down from Heart of Darkness/Plan B/T Pub that's ran by an Italian guy that speak no English and no Khmer. Forget the name, but it's on my list to find and consume.

I think you're getting confused.

The place that's closed wasn't part of Beirut. It was a joint Middle Eastern / shisha place that had a double store front, pretty much opposite Howies. They closed and moved to a single shop front literally next door, but have closed after a week.

Their original premises has now been taken over by Beirut and it's managed by a Philippino guy called Michael who tells me he has bought into Beirut. They are doing a weird mix of middle eastern and indian food.

Ah, thanks for that. Couldn't believe that Beirut had closed...

Anyone have updates on the ban?

Surprising that restaurants are failing in the red light district that is crawling with the underbelly of Phnom Penh.
