did they declare their gold reserves?

it will be an uphill battle to unseat the usd as the world trading currency, due to the enormous deployment of physical federal reserve notes worldwide.

no other country has paper all over the world.

significantly, this expatriated paper will NEVER be presented for reimport into the usa save in payment of debt. anyone wanting to convert in bulk would commit suicide via forex dilution.

imagine if the usa decided to issue a new currency and declare the old paper must be exchanged by a certain date , LOL, there are a lot more risks for those holding usa paper than the fed.

it is a crooked game as long as you have the imf.
the yanks are the owners of the casino.

nope not yet, but they could probably skip that by declaring how much bonds of other countries they are holding on to :jerk:

the gold declaration is a requirement and due yesterday
sham without it, and contrary to their stated aim of a gold yuan

well they will be from asia to europe in terms of trade with the new silk road project.
a very smart move as has been their focus on external trade for decades.

i don't really think it is good for Cambodia- an eternal client state.
the chinese masters are too close geographically.
much better to milk the yanks and align more closely to the youn.

if you have to have foreign masters, better to have an ocean in between you and them.

I thought there was a requirement that they also let their currency 'float'?
I think it's still a gov't controlled (sort of) peg to the greenback.
Personally, I think it should be made to float on the open market. they way we can give back (say) 4 to 5 yuan/dollar for every 8.3 yuan/dollar they gave us when they bought all those billions in US dollar denominated treasuries (not the current 6.3 or wherever it is.).

just good business is all.

cheers
