Goodbye AFL.

Post by nutnbuta »

It is apparent the Australian Network will cease to exist very shortly. With it will go the AFL coverage.
Fortunately cheap internet will still get me my weekend fix.

You can subscribe to AFL international for $140/year. All games live and in HD.

I've been doing that for 3 years now, together with a $10 per month Cootel internet deal not even slow in house wifi at hotels can stop me nowadays when I'm out of PP.

Goodbye AFL.

Say goodbye to the bump. You won't recognise AFL in twenty years as it steadily heads toward a non-contact sport. They'll have to rename it the Australian Footsies League.

Yep, along with other cuts to ABC and foreign aid.

The reason is pure and simple. Too many people watching afl and nrl for free on Australian network. The powers that be that good the international streaming rights don't want free access by anyone. I'm sure Rupert Murdoch is involved somewhere. That's why they canned the NBN. So Rupert can keep flogging his foxtel dead horse.

I didn't know Oz network showed the real footy (League and YES, that sentence is a troll, so bring it on you gayfl boys!). Setanta does though and will obviously continue to no matter what Joe bloody Hockey does.
