In the last competition of the 29th Seagame in Malaysia, she defeated the Philippines opponent and won the gold medal of Taekwando. Unfortunately, she ruptured her vein of her leg after the tournament and could not train in the same way. However, she was neglected when she needed help on her leg operation causing her brother to react on Facebook by saying that he felt sorry for his sister because she had to pay for the surgery by herself.

Canadia Bank has appointed Sorn Seavmey, SEA Games Taekwondo gold medalist, as a brand ambassador for 2021.

Cambodian taekwondo star, Sorn Seavmey, has announced that she will now retire from competition, after winning her gold medal in the 2023 SEA Games before her public.

Sorn Seavmey has had a long and glorious career as an athlete. She was the 17th ASIAN GAMES gold medalist in the Republic of Korea in 2014, and is a four-time SEA Games gold medalist: the 2013 SEA Games in Myanmar, the 2017 SEA Games in Malaysia, the 2019 SEA Games in the Philippines, and now the 2023 SEA Games in Cambodia. She also qualified for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio, Brazil.
