For the first time in history, Islamic prayers and readings from the Quran will be heard at the Vatican on Sunday, in a move by Pope Francis to usher in peace between Israelis and Palestinians.

Francis issued the invitation to Israeli President Shimon Peres and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas during his visit last week to Jordan, Israel, and the Palestinian Authority.

This could be a really big deal... it could be a great step in getting Islamic and Muslim to let up with the whole "Infidel" thing a little...

But this you know will be a whole new conspiracy topic to those adamant about Islam taking over the world and yada yada yada.

But this is over those countries/groups. I doubt it'll be a stepping stone.

A 'feel good' stunt at best. Good on Il Papa for the gesture, I bet large Riel it won't be reciprocated - and this is the main crunch.
