By Lauren Duca
December 10, 2016
yes, after she wrote the article it got such media attention she than sat down and wrote a book, (Duca is best known for her massively viral piece “Donald Trump is Gaslighting America” in Teen Vogue and an interview with Tucker Carlson that launched her efforts fighting for young people—and especially young women—to insist on their right to the political conversation). which im now reading its very well written and if ur not american you could learn alot about american politics from reading it.
and if you are read about how Trump becoming president has made the youth get involved

it's easy for a smart reporter to line up a bunch of hicks and make 'trump supporters' look dumb
the real issue is that there's a crisis of trust in information
post-truth postmodernism
putin perhaps pioneered the practice of it, trump is a natural, and facebook etc have spread it globally and intimately.
this guy seems almost as guilty as qanon, anti-vaxers, flat-earthers, the critical-race-theory people (everything white people ever did is invalid because slavery, therefore govt, law, science, etc, is invalid), and many others

dont know what gaslighting is?
than read on
In this scorched-earth op-ed, Lauren Duca takes on Trump's systematic attempts to destabilize the truth and weaken the foundation of American freedom.
She’s a qualified genius! A professor who’s gonna bring equality for all!
While working for Teen Vogue Laura Duca also authored the fabulous book, “How to Start a Revolution.”
She’s been called “the millennial feminist warrior queen of social media.”
“I think I tend to forget how much I have the IV plugged in and how high my knowledge level is.”
Duca continues to experience a grotesque amount of harassment. “It was super bad after Tucker. I got really sick. I had a panic attack and could not move for a couple of days,” Duca said.
Plenty of the criticisms, according to Duca, are just bad-faith arguments. “An example is Pride of 2017: I ate pussy for the first time the night before, and I tweeted the next day, ‘Happy Pride to everyone because no one’s 100% straight.’ I was just, like, pumped. People, women, predominantly in New York media, framed it as if I was All Lives Mattering Pride.”
“Their idea is that I’m espousing equality for personal gain, and that’s what they’re attacking. They're using the language of equality to attack me,” Duca says. “[Do] they think someone who’s out here putting their literal life on the line — death and rape threats, the word ‘literal’ does apply here — to stand up for equality and blaze a trail for young women is doing that to get famous and to — I don't know — barely be able to have health insurance and a home and write a book?”
“My gut motivating ideology is pushing for equality, is pushing for public power. What that looks like will change over time.”

Interesting how Trump brought this up. I doubt he will do anything substantial about it and it may just be red meat for his base going into an election.
