Congratulations to all the Brits in the KoW whose lives are dependent on the Pound. The currency is soaring with this victory. Wish I hadn't sold all my GBP denominated assets a few months back.

Even if parliament will approve the deal with the EU within weeks, all that's clear is nothing will change until December 2020. The British government will have until December 2020 to negotiate the new relationship with the EU. Since there are about 1.000.000 different opinions about that agreement in the UK and the EU is not simply going to sign any agreement I can see rough seas ahead.

I'm just very relieved that the UK hasn't walked head first onto some 1970's style Marxist nightmare. Boris Johnson will be a huge political figure for the next 10 years; he's an election winner and that's why the Tory membership backed him.
Labour will now start to tear itself apart with the activist far left membership, organised by Momentum (yeah, great momentum right over the electoral cliff) trying to install another socialist purist who is in love with the Unions and wants to try all the same nonsense that Uncle Jeremy wants.
The moderates, those few left in the Parliamentary Labour Party and the very few that remain as active members will argue for a leader, and policies, that are electable.
My money is on the Loonies because the Labour Party is suffering from what is known as Activist Capture, whereby the activists have taken full control of the party and their views and policies are significantly at odds with their support base. No dissent is tolerated. They believe that their Marxist ideology will, somehow, win the day with the public. It wont.
The moderates have all but given up going to membership meetings, the bile and vitriol at those meetings by the hardcore Corbynists have made any rational discussion all but impossible. The hard left really are a nasty piece of work.
The Labour Party are right back to where they were in the 1980's with Neil Kinnock fighting the Militant Tendency, but the rules have changed; it is now only the membership that chooses a new leader, not the PLP. And there are no Neil Kinnocks, John Smiths or Tony Blair's in sight.
With a bit of luck the lefty wankers will have a new bright idea and promote Diane Abbott as the new leader and make Labour Party history:
the first woman;
the first black;
the first with a son in prison (soon, hopefully).
Boris can then get himself a 100+ seat majority in 2024!
