ahhh the Irish
In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST

Wasn't it the Green Day singer that asked the German fans to perform the nazi salute "as a joke" during a concert and when they did said "you did it again you dumb motherfuckers", threw the microphone and walked off stage?

Re: ahhh the Irish
Not saying it did not happen but unlikely. The Nazi salute is illegal in Germany and a Green Day audience is not the sort of crowd that would do it anyway. And before anybody else jums in: yes, there are fascists in Germany that will show the Nazi salute but a) they are a minority and b) liable to get prosecuted.

Sieg Heil to the president gasman, Live 8 in Berlin at Siegessäule
I can't find the crowd salute through Google. Maybe it was somebody else. They definitely yell sieg heil in Germany however.

Interesting. I wonder if he ever got prosecuted for it or if intellectual laws protect the song. Either way, pretty poor form.
