What with the new attacks in Gaza, https://www.theguardian.com/world/2019/ ... kets-fired
this is as relevant now as when it was first broadcasted.
I am NOT Anti-Semitic
BUT
I am pro Palestine.
Up until my first trip to the middle east in 1975, i was pro Jewish, than i crossed from Jordan across the King Hussein bridge.
Traveling on a US passport with a Jewish last name it took over 10 hours to enter Israel.
I was strip searched an all my clothes, goods were Xray'd, I had all my toothpaste, soap cut in half, had all my prescriptions meds taken from me, ( was heading to India) an was told I could buy in Israel.
After 4 hours i told them i no longer wanted to travel to Israel an wanted to return to Jordan but as i no longer had a visa...
Never felt safe while i was in Jerusalem, ( which by the way is one of my top cities to visit) and Tel Aviv
I met some Palestinians that had been trying to get into Israel at immigration for over 36 hours!
The media certainly is one sided in this issue
