It is certainly a serious situation. The demonstrators wheeled a guillotine through the streets yesterday.
I got the impression they were not joking.

Raising taxes on necessities like fuel crushes productivity and hurts workers (if that's what the protests are really about instead of the hordes of barbarians that have invaded.)

Dark days ahead for the peasantry if the EU gets that army that he and Merkel want...
