Vang Vieng; Party town to eco adventure

Went thru there in 2008 & and than back in 2012 when it was full on party town with gap year students partying all night,smoking weed, opium and eating magic omelets and pizzas, while some died on the river floating down the river with a bucket of Sang Som and coke

Back in 2013 and it was all quiet and yet still a magical place to spend a night or 2.
Now it has re invented itself into a Eco-adventure paradise in an area that is just beautiful.
"Vang Vieng lies in a perfect location, halfway between Vientiane and Luang Prabang,"
Not the easiest location in se asia to reach ( you need take a 3-4 hour bus up from Vientiane or down from Luang Prabang)
but well worth it
