Just one simple question to all English teachers here. Do you speak fluent Khmer?

Cambridge says that speaking the indigenous language is no use when trying to teach ENGLISH.

Mia, suggestion: list any relevant qualifications/experience, you'll get more calls.

I'd also be wary of meeting people in out of the way places/after dark.

It's not quite Johannesburg, but it's also not Geneva.

Be aware, and good luck.

Quite simply, Cambridge is dead wrong.

Also, I wouldn't be confident of the British being able to speak English based only on nationality, these days... aye Punchy? ;)

Edit: Is someone taking the p!ss with these emoticons?

This!

That would really speed up the studies and justify a 10 USD per hour fee, the fact a tutor speaks just English simply doesn't.

Good luck with your Khmer studies if your teacher speaks Khmer only.....
