This makes me very sad. Mike is a great guy and sucks to hear this.

I think we both had the same routine for a while. Get shit faced until the early morning hours, and then head to The Place around noon to recuperate, LoL.

As I recall, Sharky barr was WELL OVER the 550 square feet repeately mentioned in that poorly worded sale ad.
550 sq. ft. is nothing. 550 sq. ft. is like 23' x 23'.

Hmmm, seems it was listed recently at both $103,000 and $93,000.

Presumably the ad has been updated recently and dropped $10,000 in price, but I don't know.

Announcement on their Facebook page makes it clear that most of the old staff QUIT and there are talks about how lame the last party was there, with people saying there's no reason to ever go back.

New owners aren't popular?

The majority of the staff, including Shuhei & myself, do not work at Sharky Bar anymore.

Everyone from the customers, to the soundboard guys, the stage manager, the bands, the MC, the photographers, the security, the ticket sellers, the cooks, the waitresses, the glass cleaners, all of the sponsors, and anyone else I've missed out, YOU all made it happen, we planned it, but you did it!!!
Thanks for every kind word you've all given to us, it really helped spur us on. This definitely was one of the biggest shows Sharkys has seen, and you're all part of history. Every band played flawlessly and it was an extremely magical 3 days with all the people that came and the amount of bands that rocked that stage, hopefully not for the last time.
Me and Shuhei really do thank you very much for everything, and we hope that Big Mike's spirit and passion for live music and fun will carry on in Sharky Bar until the sun sets for the last time.
