I've seen several complaints about this place on FB, one of which involved an unruly alcoholic tenant from the States who was constantly drunk, abusive towards other tenants, and pissing and vomiting in the pool, but the staff never do anything about him and continue to let him live there.

① I saw some complaints about this place on FB....
How many? Where are they written?

② American tenants...
Where is the truth in this?

Feel free to criticize, but please provide evidence

I'll try and find the posts and share the links, could've just been a disgruntled tenant making up BS stories, but the pictures shared were definitely the same place.

Looks like a nice place for single people to reside.

You get what you pay for, same as everywhere else. A $75 per month windowless room is going to be like a $75 per month windowless room. It sounds to me like the sort of room two, three or maybe four Khmer students would rent and share. Not that there's anything wrong with that, if you're fine with that, but just keep your expectations real.

Also, as I've learned through bitter experience, when accommodation prices seems a little too good to be true, the landlord will often make up the difference through things like hiking up your electricity bill. Especially if you're a foreigner who "doesn't know any better".
The difference between animals and humans is that animals would never allow the dumb ones to lead the pack.

Here’s the thing I don’t get.

Why do some Khmer choose cheap accommodation and crowd together into a single share room, when they can easily afford a much better place and get nice individual rooms? Or each could easily afford a nice apartment all to themselves?

1. They don’t want to live alone.
2. They don’t want to ‘waste’ money on ‘unnecessary’ comforts.
3. Their income is tied up with sending money home.

Ask missus if she’d want to live alone.

They're saving for the good ol' Lexus RX300, supporting their parents or in debt.
