Hi I am planning to buy a small tuk-tuk.
Does anyone have reliable prices, I've asked around and the price range for a new one is between 600-4000 USD.
Thanks in advance.

Are you talking about the old tuktuk to strap on a motorbike or the new gas driven imports from India?

It seems the newest series are produced in-country. I've seen quite a lot with a sticker 'made in Cambodia'.

That's actually a typo, what they mean is "assembled in Cambodia" which dodges the import tax laws for vehicles. Both of our three-wheelers were "made" in Cambodia using Chinese kits. The PassApp Bajas are Thai imports, also assembled here from kits.

So some Bajas are actually assembled here?

I've heard the new Bajaj ones have gone up in price due to demand from $2000 to $2300.

It would be interesting to see a comparison between the Baja and the Piaggio tuk-tuk.
