I bought this Yamaha from this guy ,,, [Khmer440 link removed.]

for $50 . Cost $10 to get home on a tuk-tuk . New battery $11, electrics an fuel $12. Total cost $83 .
I realized afterwards it was too complicated for a 14 year old to repair and also to big for him to ride.

I swapped it for a Charly.

New battery $11 , Electrics and gas $20,,,, Total spent on motobikes $114.

And a happy 14 year old kid can take home his charly to the Sa-Aang village.

Chaly not "Charly".

They're bombproof little buggers though, love them to bits.

After all these years the bloody Japs still haven't corrected their spelling mistake.

Apparently that Mitsubishi Starion thing is just a myth.

The telling and retelling of the Starion/Colt story, complete with racist Japanese accents (implying the Starion is so called because Japanese can't say Stallion) is a part of Australian folklore.

At times I revert to my Kiwi heritage and plead ignorant to Australian culture.

That's okay - there's times that we secretly disown our red-headed step-cousins too... :D

Isuzu Mysterious Utility Wizard
Mrs Stroppy had a Mysterious Utility when we first got together - short-wheel base, turbo diesel. The thing was danger incarnate, on four wheels, and I loved driving it dangerously. I'd never heard of MUs before. She ended up giving it to a young friend who's a professional hunter to use as a shooting platform.
