For sale, my Acer Aspire S7 ultrabook, bought in Aug 2016. Price: 250 USD. Fixed price. This is the top model of the 2015-2016 notebooks.

Why do I sell it? It's simple, my company has the policy to change my laptop about every 2 years. This laptop has no flaws, no defects that I'm aware of, but I got a new one last week. The laptop let me down one time a few weeks ago - after closing it down Windows gave a boot failure. I repaired it and have had no problems since.
I still have to configure the new laptop though, so I will be using this one until Febr. 17-18th. Then I can hand it over.

Spec's:

OS:
WIN10 HOME original 64bits

Hardware:
Screen:
14' IPS touchscreen, 2560x1440 pixels, very bright
Graphics adapter: Intel HD Graphics 5500, DDR3

Memory:
HD: 2 x 128 GB in RAID
8 MB RAM

Connectors:
2 x USB 3.0
1 x cardreader

Processor:
Intel I7 5500U mobile processor @ 2,4 Ghz

Housing:
Alu housing, grey

Weight: 1.3 KG.

Laptop comes with:
-Sleeve (original)
-Logitech wired mouse (red)

Laptop is fully working, no known flaws. Typing this add on it now. But please note the laptop has been usde, daily, since Aug. 2016. So it's not new. But it's in a good condition, it boots in seconds, it's reliable, and if their was still a new S7 available I would love it.

Not new. When new, it would run for 7-8 hours on a full battery. Now it's about 50% I guess, but it really depends on what you do. I use brightest screen, WiFi hotspot through phone (sometimes phone charging through laptop), wired mouse (for me much faster than keypad) and get about 4 hours these days with several programs (minimum: Outlook, Word, Excel, browser) open.

By cutting down on mouse and brightness you can win some though.

What is this?

"Memory:
HD: 2 x 128 GB in RAID
8 MB RAM"

Is that 8 MB or 8 GB of RAM?
Are the HDDs SSD?

Housing is full ALU, you need Acer service center for a battery change.

Memory is soldered on board, no upgrade possible I think.

Indeed, the HDD are SSD.
Most laptops have 2 RAM slots so it could be 1x8 MB or 2x4 MB ram. Just asking in case I want to add more RAM.
If you haven't open the laptop yourself I can understand it is not easy to answer with certainty.
thx

Sorry, RAM 8 GB of course. Not MB.

HD is 2 x 128 GB SSD (total 256 GB) in Raid 0 configuraton. That means the OS will store half the data on disk one, the other half on disk two so you can profit from double (bus) access and higher speeds than a single disk.

if you want the full spec's:

https://www.notebookcheck.net/Acer-Aspi ... 185.0.html

You will get a judgement about each part of the machine for free in the review.

Please note this used to be 1.600 USD ultrabook 2,5 years ago. Top of the line. No need to upgrade anything, unless you want to beat the latest Dell XPS13 which sells for over 2000 USD.

If you need real power, don't look for an ultrabook. Wanna play games. Stop reading.

This machine was never designed to be the fastest on earth, it was designed for mobile use while not giving in too much on speed. The machine is thin, light, can be used outside, is fast, boots in seconds and is reliable. But it's not a gaming machine, it's a business machine.
