Return to K.I.D Documentary

Post by Grand Barong »

Just watched this touching Khmer documentary directed by an Aussie Khmer visiting his family in Battambang where he reconnects with his khmer relatives and listens to his parents talk about the struggles they faced during the khmer rouge regime.
Worth the watch and in Full HD.

Such a moving story, thanks for sharing. Sad to read the guy (Vanna) died in 2018 at just 35. Cut me up a bit tbh

Yes the ending was quite sad, its a shame he was a very talented film maker and had a young family too... RIP

very nice documentary and especially watching it with my khmer gf and seeing her reaction to what took place and hearing about some of her moms experiences.

I assume you all out there with khmer wife's have heard many stories

This is a very worthwhile Documentary to watch for anyone who has just come across this post, I have shared it with a few of my friends who have never visited Cambodia and it gives a quick insight into the horrific past and a glimpse into everyday life of the people who lived through the khmer rouge.
I don't think anyone could not like this film...
