Yes.. big business got involved... but it was all about the money for them. The problem is... there is no clean and sustainable energy.. it’s all been a myth pushed by “big businesses”...

The only solution is a very simple one. We need to consume less.

Problem being, everyone, ( especially the poor and disadvantaged) want more
so the only real solution, which wont ever happen is
population control

The Alaskan Eskimos had it correct
They knew they had limited resources and could only feed xx number so when the population reached that point, the oldest would walk off into the sunset when a new baby was born..

Currently mankind believes we have unlimited resources, which just is not true.

God damn it Richard for driving me to post this...

But I agree 100% with you.

The lowest on the economic food chain want more... the top want even more.... and it will all come crashing down in our life time.

Green sustainable energy is the answer = lie
Science is the answer (ie. someone will discover a way to tap into unlimited energy) = lie
And the biggest lie being pushed is that all of the above will fix global climate change.

There are too many people who want too much and it can not be sustained.

And to think I put off watching this because:
1. You posted it (lol yeah sorry about that)
2. It had Michael Moore involved in it.

This needs to be shown to everyone, in every school, college and university. But I fear it is too late..... we’re faked good and proper.

Great doc. The only way out of this fool's paradise is to return to the horse and cart and sailing ships that had served us for thousands of years. Of course we would never do that until we are forced to.

“We all want to feel good about something like the electric car, but in the back of your head somewhere you’ve thought, ’Yeah, but where is the electricity coming from? And it’s like, ‘I don’t want to think about that, I’m glad we have electric cars,’” Moore said. “I’ve passed by the windmill farms, and oh it’s so beautiful to see them going, and don’t tell me that we’ve gone too far now and it isn’t going to save us … Well, my feeling is just hit me with everything. I’m like let’s just deal with it now, all at once.”

It’s part of the reason why they had to make it independently. Gibbs said he tried for years to get an environmental group on board to help offset the costs, only to be turned down at every door. He was further disheartened when, in the film, he approaches people like Jones, McKibben and a local Sierra Club leader, and asks them about their stance on biofuel and biomass. Biomass, like wood and garbage, can be used to produce heat and is considered a renewable source of energy. It can also be converted to gas or liquid biofuels that can be burned for energy.

He finds every one ill-prepared to comment on their stance about the biomass process, which the documentary says requires cutting down enormous numbers of trees to produce the woodchips that are converted into energy. Neither Jones nor McKibben responded to request for comment from The Associated Press.

“I like so many people in the film and I’m one of those people who wanted to believe all of these years that that was the right path,” Moore said. ”(But) I refuse to let us die out. I refuse to let this planet die.”

whats interesting in the above link, ( read some of the hater comments which are EXACTLY like the comments here that attack his weight & idiosyncrasies ," I'd never watch it cause, well its michael moore") it is from AUGUST 2019!!
seems it never got any distributorship till earth day this year when he put it out there for free

I for one, still believe mankind has time, IF enough of us can wake up the doubting Thomas's

PS:
....Moore shared a new episode of his Rumble podcast, featuring Gibbs and the film’s producer Ozzie Zehner. Moore and Gibbs will also host two livestreamed Q&A

A welfare system is a good way of reducing the population which is the root cause, but unfortunately that system depends on growth.
Mother nature seems to have the answer though & that will be just a matter of time.

Enough time to do what, exactly? The world is overpopulated, which is correctly identified as the main problem, and there's no way to "mitigate" this. How do you propose we cut the world's population let's say in half and keep it at that level? Not even COVID-19 is deadly enough to help with that.

Realizing that we have a real problem doesn't necessarily mean that it will be solved. Maybe that's what needs to sink in.
