I just watched

Alejandro Monteverde wrote and directed “Sound of Freedom,” based on the true story of Tim Ballard (Caviezel), a former government agent who embarks on a mission to rescue children from sex traffickers in Colombia. Mira Sorvino and Bill Camp co-star.

and it left me with mixed emotions

It features a former accountant from the cartel, that is now BUYING to rescue children being sold>

My thoughts are its a double edged sword>
is buying a child to rescue him a good idea ? as it encourages the people that steal, purchase kids for sale, to continue as there is a market
OR should one not try and save the "one"

It mentions at the end that trafficking, ( children and adult's ) is the fastest growing crime now adays an the one that pays the highest returns and there are more people enslaved now, by sex trafficking, than there were when slavery was legal.

And as the star states, "one can sell a gram of cocaine once, but a child can be brought and resold day in day out for years"

Also mentions that the US is the number one destination country for trafficked people
BUT as most stats go, i question does it include the ones paying the snakes to cross the Mexican border to obtain a better life in America, truly trafficked?

Connections to the QAnon conspiracy theory
Critics of the film have accused the filmmakers of embellishing the reality of child exploitation and stoking QAnon conspiracy theories.[4] Both Ballard and star Caviezel have been public about their belief in several conspiracy theories of the QAnon movement.[32][35] Caviezel spoke at two QAnon conventions in 2021, endorsing the spurious belief that child traffickers drain children's blood to obtain adrenochrome.[32] At one of those events, Caviezel mentioned that Ballard was supposed to appear at the conference but was "saving victims of trafficking" who were victims of "adrenochroming", a fictional practice whose existence is alleged by QAnon adherents.[36] Caviezel suggested he had seen evidence of children being subjected to the practice.[37] Caviezel reiterated his belief in the adrenochrome conspiracy theory during the press tour for Sound of Freedom.[38]

Ballard has criticized those drawing a connection between the film and QAnon saying “They make zero connection to the actual story. It’s very difficult to make that connection when it’s actually based on a true story.”[39]

Multiple writers have pointed out that the film does not directly mention any QAnon conspiracy theories.[40][41][42][43]

AMC Theatres CEO Adam Aron and “Sound of Freedom” distributor Angel Studios have joined forces to quell a boycott against the exhibition chain over the release of the Jim Caviezel action movie. Social media users have accused AMC of purposely disrupting “Sound of Freedom” screenings following accusations that the hit film stokes QAnon conspiracy theories (Rolling Stone, for instance, slammed “Sound of Freedom” as a “QAnon-tinged thriller”). Claims include AMC canceling screenings and disrupting showtimes with technical difficulties and broken air conditioning.

“Sadly, conspiracy theorists are so prevalent in America. So much garbage information is spread,” Aron wrote on Twitter. “More than ONE MILLION people have watched ‘Sound of Freedom’ at AMC Theatres. More than at any other theatre chain on the planet. Yet people falsely claim otherwise. It is so bizarre.”
