A 50-year-old Japanese tourist must have been drinking too much Red Bull and listening to R.Kelly as he watched old war movies on TV after he jumped from a fifth floor room at a Korat hotel in the early hours of Sunday morning only to discover the laws of gravity and the response times of local EMTs.

Kasutake Hashimoto is now laid up in Maharaj Hospital unable to shout “Bonzai!” with a broken arm and serious neck injury.

Local police told reporters the tourist had went to visit a friend staying at the Romyen Hotel on Chomsurangkhayat Road and were said to be in party mode making lots of noise. Witnesses say at around 1.30am all went quiet before they heard a loud thud.

That loud thud was the Kamikaze Jap landing on a second floor awning as his dreams of flying went south as fast as he fell from the fifth floor.

He was treated at the scene before being transferred to hospital.

His friend is being questioned by police and when Hashimoto is able to speak he will also be asked to provide a statement.
