Picture of Russian Tourists Siting On the Head of Statue In Siem Reap Triggered Anger Amongst Locals
A few pictures of foreign tourists who people believed to be Russian, sitting on the head of statue along the entrance into Angkor Thom had triggered anger among local in Siem Reap. Pictures are believed to have been released on facebook sometime on 17 Sunday July 2016.

It's pretty ignorant climbing around on an ancient monument, especially on the statues which can easily fracture.

That aside, I wonder why the story is the 'angered locals' rather than stupidity and illegality of climbing on ancient artifacts.

The video doesn't seem to have made a big difference.
However, it's not complicated - DON'T touch, climb or disrespect the monuments; wear clothes, leave the monks alone, don't leave litter or give to begging kids. Duh.
