Philippines wins South China Sea case against China.

Seeing how the chinkos see NO problem with the North Koreans having nuclear weapons and ballistic missiles to protect themselves against the evil American baddies pointing weapons at them, it's only fair such smaller SEA neighbors contesting the south China Sea get full access to nukes and ballistic missiles to protect their own interests against the wonderful, benevolent Chinese good guys pointing weapons at them.

China bomber makes debut landing on South China Sea island
Beijing's move is likely to fuel further concerns about its intentions in the disputed waters.
19 May 2018
China's air force has landed long-range military aircraft on an island in the disputed South China Sea, a move that is believed to be the first of its kind and is likely to fuel further concerns about Beijing's intentions in the region.

China Daily published a video purporting to show military planes, including the long-range, nuclear strike-capable H-6K, taking off and landing in the diplomatically charged region on Friday.

Didn't they insist early on when building the islands that they were non-military establishments?

i have removed a couple of madly off topic posts.

while i happen to agree that Israel is guilty of some horrific acts- please stay on topic.this thread is not about Israel, Nato, USA, Russia, etc.
there is far too much derailing of threads solely to push a poltical agenda.
if such subjects are fit for discussion, start a new thread on them and they can be debated there.
no need to ruin discussion by running wildly off topic.

Of course it’s non-military. Just for the peace and prosperity of all SE Asia. Gotta watch more CCTV.

Besides how do you think Ironman learned how to such a benevolent father to the Cambodian people?

Tough South China Sea talks ahead as Vietnam seeks to curb China's actions
31 Dec 2018 07:34AM
HONG KONG: Tough negotiations lie ahead over a new pact between China and Southeast Asian nations aimed at easing tensions in the South China Sea, as Vietnam pushes for provisions likely to prove unpalatable to Beijing, documents reviewed by Reuters suggest.

Hanoi wants the pact to outlaw many of the actions China has carried out across the hotly disputed waterway in recent years, including artificial island building, blockades and offensive weaponry such as missile deployments, according to a negotiating draft of the ASEAN Code of Conduct (COC) seen by Reuters.

The draft also shows Hanoi is pushing for a ban on any new Air Defence Identification Zone - something Beijing unilaterally announced over the East China Sea in 2013. Chinese officials have not ruled out a similar move, in which all aircraft are supposed to identify themselves to Chinese authorities, over the South China Sea.

Hanoi is also demanding states clarify their maritime claims in the vital trade route according to international law – an apparent attempt to shatter the controversial "nine-dash line" by which China claims and patrols much of the South China Sea, the draft shows.

"Going forward, there will be some very testy exchanges between the Vietnamese and China in particular over the text of this agreement," said Singapore-based Ian Storey, a veteran South China Sea expert, who has seen the draft.

"Vietnam is including those points or activities that they want forbidden by the Code of Conduct precisely because China has been carrying these out for the last 10 years."

Beijing sends fleet of ships to disputed South China Sea island ‘to stop Philippines building facilities’
Number of ships sent to Spratly Islands reached 95 in mid-December in what US monitors believe was part of effort to coerce Manila into stopping construction work
China, Vietnam and the Philippines all lay claim to the island chain

PUBLISHED : Friday, 08 February, 2019, 9:01am
UPDATED : Saturday, 09 February, 2019, 11:41am
China has been accused of sending a fleet of almost 100 ships to hamper Philippine construction work on a disputed island in the South China Sea.

Beijing started sending vessels to Thitu, part of the Spratly chain, according to the Asia Maritime Transparency Initiative (AMTI) run by the Washington-based Centre for Strategic and International Studies.

The fleet of ships, dispatched from the nearby Subi Reef, includes vessels from the navy and coastguard along with dozens of fishing boats.

The report said their presence was part of an effort to coerce the Philippines into stopping the work on the island, which China also claims as its own.

Satellite images showed that a Chinese navy Jianghu V-class frigate and Zhaoduan-class coastguard cutter were off Thitu on December 20, when the number of Chinese vessels had peaked at 95.

The report said the Chinese warship was just over seven nautical miles away from the Philippine navy’s frigate, the BRP Ramon Alcaraz, at the time.

The Philippine government announced in April 2017 that it would start building a beaching ramp on Thitu, which is known as Pagasa in the Philippines and Zhongye island in Chinese.

Beijing: Chinese Navy Expels U.S. Warships from South China Sea
06/05/19 23:55
BEIJING, May 6 (CGTN) -- China resolutely opposes U.S. navy's illegal entry to the South China Sea, condemning it as a way to undermine China's sovereignty and jeopardize peace, security and order in relevant waters, said Geng Shuang, a spokesperson for the Chinese Foreign Ministry, during a regular press conference on Monday.

Earlier Monday, two U.S. guided-missile destroyers Preble and Chung Hoon sailed near islands in the South China Sea without permission. Chinese warships and military aircraft responded immediately, identifying the U.S. warships, giving warnings and expelling them, he added.

China urges the U.S. to immediately stop provocations that infringe upon China's sovereignty and threaten China's security, said Geng, stressing that China will take necessary actions to maintain its sovereignty and territorial integrity.

There is only one way this dispute is going to end, and the sooner the better, or should we wait another twenty years until both sides develop hundreds of a super-super size nuclear weapons.

Sadly this video shows Chinese poachers dredging and destroying coral reefs off Philippine islands in the South China Sea for giant clams and protected turtles (under the protection of the Chinese navy it is claimed).
