The end of the road for me should be unpaved, gladiator style.

I actually almost checked out on china white there one time, the gf kept me from entering the darkness.

No more china white for me again, good grief, the high ain't worth the price you pay.

I'll be the judge of that myself in a few hours.

I've just been told it's been raining non-stop there the last few days, which is unacceptable for The General and his family.

I'll will be talking to the Ministry of Tourism about this upon my arrival.

She's not Russian but South African. Really nice lady.

Here's a few from 2006/7 which, in my opinion, was the best era for living in Cambodia that I dragged off my old computer's hard drive

Haven't heard the go-kart gossip. The builder/owner died mysteriously and then some Russians took it over.
Yes, Star Bar was the original Afterwork Bar and had a pig farm out back :). It also was open on 3 sides so caught any of the breeze and one of the best pool tables.

not gossip
it was in some pedophile documentary about cambodia i watched, he was actually arrested, i think he got let off the charges (obviously paid his way out if you read the story) as there were numerous young boys that testified against him, and the owners 21 year old stepson was charged with iligal imprisonment of one of the young boys [edit: found the story online]
And in Sihanoukville, French citizen Pierre Guynot was released after Judge Huon

Many also found there was insufficient evidence to convict him of debauchery.

Guynot was found guilty of illegal possession of a weapon and was sentenced to six

months in jail, which he spent awaiting trial last year. His 21-year-old foster son,

Ouk Savuth, was sentenced in absentia to three years for illegal confinement of a

boy.

The 45-year-old owner of a go-karting business in Sihanoukville was arrested in May

2001. The judge's ruling dismayed police, human rights workers and the victims' lawyer.

Lawyer Yim Sary complained the judge had rejected the testimony of eight of the nine

boys, who were all between 10 and 15 years old. He also would not consider numerous

pornographic photographs taken by Guynot, as well as the police report.

Sary said the judge had ordered Guynot to pay an $80 fine to the family of the confined

boy, despite the fact that it was his adopted son who was found guilty of that charge.

He said he would appeal the verdict.

"This trial was not fair," Sary said. "The judge listened to Guynot

and to the testimony of the one boy who recanted his complaint. He considered the

rest of the evidence groundless."

Chhrin Vanne, who led the police investigation, said the proceedings of the trial

were unusual, not least because the judge had raised his voice at the victims.
Despite

the verdict, he said the case would go to the Supreme Court if necessary.

A French Embassy spokesman said Guynot could now leave the country as there were

no charges outstanding.

If you can be bothered, place your kampot photos here where people will find them : https://cambodiaexpatsonline.com/the-roa ... t6943.html
I remember when it was like that. Doesn't seem so long ago.

And sorry to assume your SA lady was Russian, my bad. It was a percentage chance. Is she something to do with the SA restaurant outside MC ?
