Rethinking the Northern Ireland Peace Process
As we are all aware, England and Wales voted from Brexit but the people of Norn Iron and the
ever-disgruntled Scots evinced a strong desire to stay on the E.U. welfare tit.
For the English taxpayer, it would be far cheaper to mine the border really thoroughly just once than to support a nation
accustomed to living well beyond its means year after year after year.
Various figures are given for how much Norn Iron costs the English taxpayer annually, but all are agreed
that 7 billion (7,000,000,000) sterling pounds a year is the minimum.
The population of Norn Iron is 1,811,000, give or take a few either way.
Due to geological factors, it is - regrettably - impossible to tow Norn Iron to Mid-Atlantic and scuttle it with all aboard.
However, for a one-off expenditure of seven billion pounds, everyone in Norn Iron over the age of 10 could be provided with an excellent
automatic firearm (the AR-15 comes to mind at once) plus plenty of ammunition and some really excellent body armor
Left to themselves, the inhabitants of Northern Ireland / the Occupied Six Counties could determine their
own future in their own way.

And here I was thinking that you had something sensible to contribute.

O USERNAMETAKEN -
Many decades ago I was in Finaghy and staying with my uncle's family at
a time when the Troubles were just beginning and Paisley the Elder was merely a Manic Street
Preacher ... somehow in the course of the conversation I suggested that a teeth-gritted political deal between the Provos and the Paisleyites
underwritten by the ever-generous English taxpayer might be a solution.
This grotesque and absurd solution came to pass many years later after an ocean of blood had been expended and a mountain of money
had been pissed away.
