Re: World’s Most Dangerous Countries
NZ is not a safe country if you are an avocado...
https://www.theguardian.com/world/2016/ ... ew-zealandAvocado shortage fuels crime wave in New Zealand
Surging local and international demand for avocados is fuelling a crime wave in New Zealand.
Since January there have been close to 40 large-scale thefts from avocado orchards in the north island of New Zealand, with as many as 350 fruit stolen at a time.
Brunchers smashed by avocado prices amid Australian shortage
It is suspected many more thefts have gone unreported.
Avocados are selling for between NZ$4-6 each (£2-3) across the country, after a poor season last year and increasing local demand...
The recent thefts have taken place in the middle of the night, with the crop either “raked” from the tree and collected in blankets or sheets on the ground, or hand-picked and driven away to pop-up road-side stalls, grocery stores or small-scale sushi, fruit and sandwich shops in Auckland...

It's a great resource. I'm going to avoid the USA from now on, it's safer to holiday in Central America. And don't think you're safe in Sweden either - it's no better than West Papua. Be careful out there.
Silence, exile, and cunning.

Re: World’s Most Dangerous Countries
Been to 4 out of 5 of the least safe countries so far...just one to go. The only country out of the top 5 safest I've been to is my home country.

In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST

Re: World’s Most Dangerous Countries
From OP, the news.com.au site has concluded :
Good to hear that there is less militarisation in Thailand
The countries were ranked on “militarisation, society and security, and domestic and international conflict”.
Iceland was named the world’s most peaceful country for the sixth year in a row, followed by Denmark, Austria, New Zealand and Portugal.
Panama, Thailand and Sri Lanka showed greatest improvements in peace.

Re: World’s Most Dangerous Countries
^^ I think you might be misunderstanding.
It's the militarization that has brought about the great improvement in peace.
