What do you do with your 100r notes ?

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

I throw them in a bag, and let them pile up.

When I'm leaving the house and know of a certain payment I'll be making, I count them up and stuff them in my back pocket on that the way out the door.

I brought a bunch of new, crisp ones here to Saudi and have used them as prizes.

Their currency here is called "Riyal" pronounced the same, so I say the prize is "100 Reil," which they think/thought is about equal to $26 USD, LoL.

Great when studying currency conversion.

Fun when they realize they can't even buy a candy bar with it. :stir:

I throw all my Riel in a bag though. I think the most I had saved up was a couple hundred dollars worth.

A money changer gave me a reduced rate once. Pissed me off, as it took more time to bundle the 100's up than anything else, and then to receive a reduced rate.

The one time my house got burgled the thieves took the time to go around collecting all the 100 Riel notes, yet was kind enough to leave my laptop sitting out.
