In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST

Richard: Was it a white tab with the impression of an owl on it? I too did it about the same time. A real life changer. Lasted about a day and a half. Lots of colors, melting things, visuals, and music was great! Didn't even smoke any pot until about 5 or 6 trips. When handed my first joint I asked "is it as good as acid." At one time I lived in a house with 4 other room mates (a real party house). One roommate was a archaeological student. He would take off for a couple months for digs south of the border and show back up with a garbage bag full of peyote buttons. ( a real time for celebration.) I remember white and purple Owsley, window-pane, sugar cubes, blotter, orange sunshine, and many others. ( I liked the original powdered MDA the best) I miss the rock festivals and music in the parks. Of course this was before AIDs so the free love thing was in full swing. Glad I lived during that time.

Yep,that's it
being a teenager in a America during the 60's was probably one of the best times ,ANYWHERE, to be one.
I grew up in DC and was involved with all the wrong people ( or so my mother told me )
Story, was traveling in Europe in 72 an we were in Morocco with my VW van, met some guys and one had lost his passport, didn't want to deal with trying to get new one there an wanted to get back to Spain so we smuggled him back, gave the 3 of us 500 hits of sunshine, the next 2 months were,'
coffee and acid every morning, thank god i took photographs, otherwise i would have had no idea what happened.

Good Documentary. Some nice old footage. I would have entitled the thread "Tune In" That's what I got from the drug. One of the cleanest drugs out there in some ways. I would recommend people taking some good acid and having a day out walking in the countryside. Especially a forest. Make sure there are no other people around except you and your best friend and take plenty of water.phuketrichard wrote:my first out of body experience was on "Owsely" back in 1967

I thought it was funny when they said it wasn't liked by the establishment because it promoted people just laying around. More probably they realized that people have no concept of money or what it really means on acid. In some ways it's like turning the clock back thousands of years. I think that is what it did for me, it's like getting in touch with your evolution. That connection you get when entering a forest.
I haven't taken it for quite a number of years now, mainly because the quality and dosage are lower which means you don't really trip-out as such.
I guess that may mean it is a bit safer? I just get bored when taking it for the most part, which is why I stopped. I would however consider taking about 10 liberty caps (psilocybin) when one needs to look in from the outside so to speak. Just what the woman said in the documentary.
