Have questions or resources regarding Khmer Culture? This forum is all about the Kingdom of Cambodia's culture. Living in Cambodia can cause you to experience a whole new level of culture shock, so feel free to talk about all things related to the Khmer people, and their traditions. And if you want something in Khmer script translated into English, you will probably find what you need.

Well, this is my handwriting.
It isn't good, but way faster than trying to type it on the phone.

That's quite clear, don't know why you'd think we couldn't read it. The second line looks like the style I was asking about, so it is still used. You have pretty handwriting.

It is good that you didn't see mine as it is really ugly. BTW, your handwriting is really beautiful and clear.

I dont know how many readers have thought about British versus American English spelling.

The British say, English is ours, and we will do it as we have traditionally done it.

Americans say, how can we make English simpler, and spell it more like it is pronounced.

As a result of the American influence, English is simpler for children learning English spelling, and for people learning English as a second language.

After some years, the British copy American spelling.

Some other languages have been through a similar process.

A lot of Cambodians are like the British. Anyone who has an idea to improve it, is accused of not speaking Khmer well enough, so their opinion is not even considered. At some time in the future, someone needs to ask, how can we make Khmer simpler and easier.
