Tales from the Kyauktada Club (an occasional series by Mister Butch)

If you have something so weird, strange or off-topic to post and think it doesn't belong in any other forum; you're probably right. Please put all your gormless, half-baked, inane, glaikit ideas in here. This might also be a place where we throw threads that appear elsewhere that don't belong ANYWHERE end up, instead of having to flush them. FORUM RULES STILL APPLY.

Tales from the Kyauktada Club (an occasional series by Mister Butch)

Post by takeoman »

In late 2015 this venerable institution was shaken up by the initial interactions of a new member, who in homage to the late great KiR called himself gibbon arms. Initially he/she came across as an historically well informed if somewhat cutting personality. Many suggestions as to who lurked behind the name were made and discarded: Vicomte Playboy(doesn't do annonimity), Scobienz(doesn't do interesting), Chuck Wow( humourless). It was a dead end and the sudden disappearence of gibbon seemed to have killed the speculation.
Gibbon however returned this year, but as a much nastier and vindictive personality, and this resulted in the Witchfinder General(Gavin Mac) turning his attention to the case. Very soon a compelling deluge of evidence was pointing in one direction, and to many a somewhat suprising one. Not only was one of the clubs oldest and most loyal members accused of beiing the Gibbon, he was also being linked to other aliases such as Dan Cooper and Ty Webb. Could it really be that Andy in Asia, who portrayed himself as a model of propriety was indeed the vicious gossip? AiA's defence was inadequate to say the least. launching a stream of invective at his accuser and finally flouncing out the door.
So case closed, and the members happily returned to discussing such Important topics as when did you first meet Scodienz (haven't, probably never will). But is it, or has Andy taken the fall, leaving the real culprit in the clear? One thing is clear whether Andy or someone else, if you want an outsider put a bet on the Belgian, this gibbon is gutless. If he intends returning in a new guise may I suggest the name Cousin Kevin would be appropriate.

Do we really need another topic on what happens over on 440?

Surely anyone who cares reads / posts over there, so what is the point in starting threads related to them?

I do not post over there but wanted to make a few comments on this issue, so availed myself of the Asinine Arena where hopefully my imbecilic ramblings would not disturb the more censorious among us. :hattip:
