Trial passenger rail service to begin April 9

Cambodia news in English! Here you'll find all the breaking news from Cambodia translated into English for our international readership and expat community to read and comment on. The majority of our news stories are gathered from the local Khmer newspapers, but we also bring you newsworthy media from Cambodia before you read them anywhere else. Because of the huge population of the capital city, most articles are from Phnom Penh, but Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, and Kampot often make the headlines as well. We report on all arrests and deaths of foreigners in Cambodia, and the details often come from the Cambodian police or local Khmer journalists. As an ASEAN news outlet, we also publish regional news and events from our neighboring countries. We also share local Khmer news stories that you won't find in English anywhere else. If you're looking for a certain article, you may use our site's search feature to find it quickly.

Lyrics for Cambodia

You know I saw Ms Lao Si down along the tracks

She bought a load of skin whitener so she won't be turning black

Without loi, without loi, where would she be right now?

Well Phnom Penh Central station

And that Southern Shitsville date

Gotta keep on paying Mamasan

Cause you know that is her fate

Without loi...where would you be now?

Um, that's got the same rhythm as a ken sway poem. Very go

Where is the train station in SHV?

Is there a smoking section on the train?

Check Google maps. Very obvious and fairly central location.

Just follow the train , where it stops is either the railway station or a accident.

OK, I found the train station, but let's not tell anyone where it is. It should be kept a secret.

Lol, It's in a very handy location. Just turn up an hour early for a quicky at the chicken farm before you leave. It's just a bit further down form the port, you know, where all the railway tracks are. Just follow them. lol. Not sure if they have cleared some of the slums etc away from there for the grand opening, but I doubt it. So, you need to go past the entrance to the port, turn left at the slums, drive down about 50 mtrs and it's there in front of you. Right in front of the chicken farm (which is on the other side of the tracks ;) )

I am still interested to know if they have a goods section to transport motos, furniture etc? If they have one of those I would expect you can go there for a puff. I do in Vietnam. Do they allow you to pass between carriages?
