Over the next three months, this call sent US-based investigators to zero in on Clarence Edward Evers Jr of Evergreen, Alabama. They read his several email accounts, traced his contacts, looked at his photos and read "trip reports" to Thailand.

...His last trip was the following year, from June 6 to July 29, 2014. He skipped Pattaya and claimed in email he spent a short stay in Bangkok, then went to Bo Rai, Trat province. "I spent time [with a boy who] has been with me from when he was nine to 15."

I have a good friend who's a cinematographer, traveled with me my last visit. Got to US Customs on return and had to sit for hours while ICE / Customs looked at hundreds of his photos and scanned dozens of hours of his video data. That seems normal... But what about coming in and living there awhile? Are the Cambodian people, particularly law enforcement, suspicious of male travelers - beyond reason?

Do people try to extort from a innocent people like myself? That would not be good, but I'm pretty savvy and would try to always be conscious of my surroundings so that couldn't happen. Still... It concerns me.

I definitely don't look like 99% of the perverted fucks I see in the news section of this forum.

I'd hope that these assholes are rare enough to not fuck up the better of us, but... I believe there's a lot of this going on, like way too much, for way too long. I'm glad the US implemented the law that permits prosecution for paedophilia outside the US.

U worry too much, kampotbound, cambodia isnt a good place for ppl who worries too much, e.g. Traffic, medicine, currency, disease, food allergens, building standards, list goes on
