A Famous Australian Thief in Sihanoukville Was Arrested in Siem Reap
Siem Reap: According to Koh Santepheap Daily News, An Australian thief who is famous for stealing properties from other tourists in Sihnoukville was arrested in Siem Reap by tourism police when he continued stealing people properties at Pub Street in Siem Reap. He was arrested after police had received complaints from other foreign tourists. He was brought to police station for questioning.
He was arrested around 4:00 am on 12 Feb 2016 near Pub Street located in Mondol 1 village, Svay Dangkum commune, Siem Reap city.
According to police, three victims made complaint against him.
1. Uyttebroeck Michel, male, 45 years old, Belgian. He had his Canon camera, three other cameras and a LG phone stolen.
2. Van Trugng, male, 29 years old, American. He had his camera and phone stolen.
3. Jose Gonzalez, male, 24 years old, Spanish. He had his camera and phone and some money stolen.
They all had their properties stolen in Sihanoukvile as they were travelling together and stayed together. After that they all came to visit Siem Reap and while they were walking at Pub Street, they saw the suspect and then they called people to arrest him. The suspect happened to stay at the same guest house with them again in Siem Reap.
The suspect named Adilrashid Jaber, male, 37 years old, Australian.
