Belgium man died from heart attack at Cyclo Guesthouse on Street 172 at the corner of Street 23

Phnom Penh: According to Kampuchcea Thmey Daily News, a Belgium man died from heart attack which caused a surprise at the guest house. He was transported by Tuk Tuk to hospital, but the private hospital refused to treat him and recommended to bring him to Calmette hospital. He was pronounced dead at Calmette hospital.

This incident happened around 15:30 pm on 10 Jan 2016 at Cyclo guesthouse located in at house number 50, street 172 corner of street 23, Chey Chumnas commune, Daun Penh district.

The victim named Christopher Robert M. Peleriaux , male, 39 years old. He entered Cambodia as tourist. He was staying in room number 9, second floor of Cyclo guest house.
According to Mr. Large Gvegory, male, 29 years old, French, the son of the guesthouse owner, around 15:30 pm he went to room number 2, second floor, he saw the victim was sitting with his friends with his saliva flowing down. He waked him up and then he heard the victim moaning. So, he called the victim’s friend to help tilting him and then he started throwing up with blood and mucus flowing from his nose and mouth. The ambulance was called, but no one pick up the call. So, they lifted the victim on Tuk Tuk to Naga hospital, but the doctor refused to treat him and recommended to bring him to Calmette hospital. The French man and his friend went back to the hotel to bring his document and when they arrived back at the hospital, the doctor told them that the victim was already dead. Later the police was informed about this death.

According to the autopsy, the victim died from heart attack and now his body is being kept at Calmette hospital.
